Without a doubt, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games’ forthcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 already has a stacked roster of characters from which to choose, as Spider-Man 2099, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Spider-Gwen, and a plethora of others are in the game. Even so, the publisher and developer have decided to expand the cast list by adding the Inhumans to the title.
As seen below in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2‘s Inhumans trailer, Black Bolt, Medusa, Crystal, Gorgon, Maximum, Karnak, and the fan favorite canine Lockjaw will be joining the game, in addition to a new hub area based on the Inhuman city of Attilan, which is one of 18 different Marvel locations featured. The Inhumans’ inclusion in the release will see the characters assisting in taking down the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror.
Speaking of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2‘s antagonist, Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games put out a Kang the Conqueror trailer that highlighted the super villain and his abilities. Not only did the clip detail the bad guy and his nefarious plans, but also it showed off a handful of worlds that players will be able to explore, such as the American Old West, the pyramids of ancient Egypt, a futuristic New York City in the year 2099, and even the streets of Sakaar.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 was confirmed back in May with an announcement trailer, as it was revealed that the game will contain characters spanning across various different Marvel timelines and universes, so it’s great to see that the developers decided the Inhumans should make an appearance in the title. Of course, with the Inhumans joining the cast, it’s a safe bet to make that many fans of the franchise will keep their fingers crossed for potential X-Men characters to join the roster, but only time will tell if that is to be the case.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is due out on November 17, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and a Nintendo Switch version is currently in development, but it isn’t slated to debut until holiday 2017.
