While most gamers are likely still recovering from the gift-giving frenzy of the holiday season, Destiny 2 players have another, Santa Claus-like figure to look forward to this weekend. Xur has once again returned to the world of Bungie’s shooter, and brought with him a selection of exotic goodies for players to spend their Legendary Shards on.
This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on Nessus, the colorful destination with a red and green hue. Xur’s Nessus hiding spot should be plenty familiar to most by now, since it was the first place he ever set up shop in Destiny 2. But, if you’re having a little trouble finding him, head to the Watcher’s Grave area and look up.
Xur’s exotic armor selection this week includes the Foetracer helmet for Hunters, the Peacekeepers boots for Titans, and the Eye of Another World helmet for Warlocks.
The Hunter helmet is an easy pickup, especially for Destiny 2 players that enjoy the Crucible. With the exotic equipped, players will be able to track enemies through walls and around corners for a brief time and do additional damage as that opponent’s health lowers. It’s by no means the only PvP exotic for Hunters to use, but Foetracer is easily one of the best.
The Peacekeepers boots are a fun exotic to use if you are a fan of submachine guns. With the boots on and submachine guns in your kinetic and energy slots, you can switch between the two without ever reloading. Just leave a little time for the Peacekeepers to work their magic in between weapon swaps.
Warlocks are likely pretty familiar with the Eye of Another World helmet; Xur tends to sell it regularly. But those that don’t have it will find it a decent option for PvE or PvP. When equipped, the helmet will increase the recharge rate of each Warlock ability except its Super.
For his exotic weapon, Xur has the Vigilance Wing pulse rifle for sale. It’s a cool looking weapon, without question, but pulse rifles are not very popular in the current Destiny 2 meta, even if this is one of the better ones.
On PC, the Vigilance Wing actually fares better thanks to the accuracy of mouse and keyboard control, so it’s worth trying on the platform. And if pulse rifles do eventually get a buff, expect Vigilance Wing to be everywhere.
